The Atlantic Puffin is a sharply dressed black and white seabird with a large multicolored bill and is often called the "Clown of the Sea". It nests in burrows on islands and the coasts of Norway, Iceland, Greenland, Scotland and Canada and winters at sea for up to 8 months. In flight puffins flap their small wings frantically to stay aloft, but underwater those wings become powerful flippers that allow the birds to catch small fish until they have a beak full.
